Meet Liza

Hello and thank you for considering me as a Nanny to your children. I'm over 50, raised three very intelligent and compassionate Son's, have a lovely, kind and energetic granddaughter who keeps me very busy. I'm a third generation healer and a born nurturer. Love plants, cooking, reading, acting silly, and into playing games and learning new things with the children. I love structure but being flexible and learning to adapt to change, being creative, resourceful, and spontaneous are crucial skills to have when taking care of children. We have a four legged feline who resides with us and watch over us. Although I love them all, I do have allergies to dog dander and hair. Highly dominant dogs and I do not do well together. Iv learned over the years to clean as I go, not to take myself to seriously, and to be unconditional and supportive of children's autonomy and personal space. When they are ready and feel comfortable with you they will let you know. In the 80's Iv worked with youth as a teen educator/actress with New Image Teen Theater where we performed in Elementary, Jr High and High Schools through out San Diego, worked as a volunteer educator at The World Beat Center in San Diego for a year in my twenties, participated as a parent volunteer with HeadStart in San Diego for both my older sons, ran a daycare from my own home for a year before moving to Oregon, was on several youth organizations as a board member in Eugene, participated as a youth acting coach for the LCC African American Rights of Passage program, moved to Phoenix Arizona where I continued to participate in my children's school as a volunteer acting coach.. There is so much more I have left out but I do believe that my back ground is sufficient for the job but in the end it's all about the children and making sure they feel secure and comfortable and that we are a good fit and that you as parents feel comfortable with me at the end of the day!!
