I have over 8 years experience working with children in an accredited preschool. I became interested in this field when I volunteered in my Mother’s 2 ½ to 3 ½ year old classroom in California. As a volunteer I helped other teachers with various actives such as setting up projects, getting ready for reading time, cleaning, organizing, and helping with the children. I was blessed in high school to be able to take an elective class that allowed me to go off campus and work as an aide for a first grade class which I enjoyed immensely. I enjoy working with children. There are so many highlights when you work with children such as seeing them learn something new, observing how they interact with each other, and seeing them find their own special gifts. One of my goals is to make children feel comfortable and appreciated making their environment a Read more positive place for them to grow and learn. Helping children as they explore their environment whether it's the great outdoors or a new recipe for play dough I feel lucky to have the chance to help children learn with a hands on approach.
