I have an amazing one and half year old son who has taught me to be the most patient person in the world. I can honestly say that I've always loved children. When I was in high school I babysat children that ranged from ages 3-10 and being a part of the "mom club" has given me all sorts of amazing experience with infant care. I have a very reliable vehicle and pride myself on being a trustworthy person. I love to create a safe and fun environment for children and am more than willing to perform light cleaning duties as well as meal preparation. I recently quit my job because of all of the babysitter issues that I was experiencing, I thought to myself, "who better to watch my child than me?" Michelle was a very nice girl that we thought was going to work out very well for us. However after babysitting for us for a couple of weeks she sent a text on Sat morning stating that she had been offered a fulltime job and she hoped it didn't leave us in a bind but that she was going to take the job. I can't fault her taking a job that offers medical benefits, however I think that her new job would have been understanding if she had told them that she needed to give notice to her other job (us). Maybe I am old fashioned but I still think that it is common curtesy to give at least a two weeks notice so that you don't leave someone high and dry. She was also consistently late, in turn causing me to be late for work.
