Hi there! My name is Molly - I am a 26 year old woman from Portland, Oregon but I have made the recent decision to move to Boulder, Colorado! I chose to move for a multitude of reasons, the main one being I wanted to try something new and Boulder seemed like the perfect fit for me considering my love for the beautiful outdoors! I have been a paid babysitter/nanny since 2007. I worked with one family regularly for 10 years; the girls were ages 5 & 6 when I started. I ended up helping them out thru their early teen years; the girls and I developed a strong, sisterly bond and I am still in-touch with them today. With that family, I was in-charge of caring for the girls, helping with homework, planning fun activities, chauffeuring them to and from appointments or playdates, cooking meals, light house cleaning & Read more caring for the family cat. More recently, this past year I have been a primary nanny for another family watching their 3 kids, 2 boys ages 7 & 1 and 1 girl age 6. I am quite connected with these kids and have developed a strong relationship with the entire family, so much so that I’ve accompanied them on several family vacations helping out with the kids and cooking/packing. With this family my duties were comparable to what I did with the previous family (minus the pet care, as they don’t have any pets). Additionally, I have babysat for other families on & off with ages varying from infant to 14yrs. I am a fun, loving and engaging caregiver who truly wants to help kids develop into the best versions of themselves. I am all for positive reinforcement, encouraging independence and critical thinking, all while keeping things positive & light hearted. Beyond my babysitting & nannying jobs, I have previously worked as an actor in live theatre; I play the role of Totes the Goat in Clackamas Reparatory Theatre’s kids show, Wing It. I have also worked as a legal assistant for 2 years in a small law firm that handled Workers’ Comp and Social Security Disability. Now I am entering the exciting world of Real Estate Investing. I currently have a part-time job as a Marketing Coordinator for McCleary Realty & Development, learning things on the go. Because that job is only part-time (meaning only about 15hrs/week), I am looking to find a full-time nannying position to provide steady income and a sense of fulfillment, as I love working with children.
