I have had experience working with kids in a center and in a montessori school along with summer nannying, for the past 4 years. In this time I got the chance to work with kids ranging from six months to nine years. I adore kids and every moment spent with them is special in its own way.

I was born and raised in Louisiana and received my B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of New Orleans. After graduation, I relocated to a rural community in the central Oregon coast range and gave birth to my son. Before my son began Kindergarten, I moved to a nearby town where I purchased and operated a small preschool. During this time, I also facilitated parent education classes at the local women's center. When my son began first grade, we moved to the Corvallis area. I began working as a substitute teacher at the Corvallis Montessori School. I soon began working full-time at CMS in their Primary Extended Care Program and Summer Arts Camp. Realizing my passion for the Montessori Method, I enrolled in the Assistance to Infancy (children birth-three) training at Montessori Institute in Portland. After completion, I returned to the Corvallis area and proposed, planned and implemented the Toddler House program at CMS. Over the next few years as a Montessori Guide, I created a thriving environment for children. Realizing that my true calling is in working together with the families, I now provide support and care to create an optimal home learning environment. I have recently moved to Cottage Grove and I am looking forward to working with families in the area.
