I studied Elementary and Early Childhood Education at George Fox University and graduated in 2006, in addition to receiving the education department's award of excellence for the graduating class. I taught 4th and 5th grade in Woodburn, OR for 8 years before having children and becoming a stay at home mom for my two boys (now ages 2.5 and 9 months). I now use my lifelong passion and experience of early childhood learning and play at home. We live right on Jaquith Park in Newberg and spend our days singing,playing at the park, attending storytimes and singing classes, visiting the library, learning social skills and preschool concepts through art, reading, games and play. I am looking to utilize my skills and education in child development to nanny another toddler or two a couple of days a week (part time) to join in the fun! You wouldn't just be getting a "nanny," you would actually have a certified teacher caring for your child and getting the added benefit of social interaction with peers, without a high ratio daycare or preschool facility. My two year old son is fully potty trained, so I have recent experience in this area, if applicable.
