Hello, my name is Mary M. I am a retired school teacher of 29 years, and have lately enjoyed babysitting younger children. For the last seven years, I have watched children three months to 7 years. I am especially interested in being a nanny for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. I have educational degrees in their developmental level, and how to design appropriate play, language, and various skills to develop theses levels. I am very competent with infants in the areas of feeding, diapering/cleanliness, clothing, getting ready for naps, and soothing. With toddlers, I understand how to begin potty training, eating with new tools and strategies, learning structure and rules, and use of manners. Those skills continue into preschool. I also know who to teach three and four year old preschool skills. Teaching social skills is also important at this time. I also find elementary aged children very enjoyable to be Read more with.
