I have had several years of experience with child care through babysitting, nannying, and working at various children's events. As an older sibling, I grew up babysitting my younger brother, and I babysat other children as well from a young age. I was very active in the children's program at my church, where I was involved in the youth ministry and co-led a group of ten 2nd grade children for the church's kids camp for two years in a row. In college, I volunteered in the Kidsville section at Musicians Corner in Nashville, TN, where approximately 200 kids would come through each Saturday. I helped organize and carry out the arts and crafts section as well as the music portion of the event. Most recently, last year (2016) I was a summer nanny for a beautiful baby girl (age 7-10 months). I was responsible for general care taking such as Read more feeding, diaper-changing, sleep schedule, allergy awareness, etc.). I am currently working on achieving my First Aid and CPR AED Certification through the American Heart Association. I expect to complete the hands-on training on June 9, 2017. I have a huge heart for kids! I love investing in children and encouraging them as they grow, learn, and discover who they are. It always amazes me to see that although there is a lot we teach children, there is so much that they actually teach us!
