I graduated from Kutztown University in 2014 with a B.S. in education with certifications in Special Education (prek-8) and Elementary Education (prek-4). I have since gained certification in Special Education for Washington, D.C., and certification in Special Education for the State of Oregon. I have been teaching special education with a focus in behavior and mental health for the past 7 years but I am considering leaving the field as I am pregnant with my first child. I love working with toddlers and infants within my family and friend circle. I truly enjoy exposing children to literature, sensory experiences in nature, arts and crafts, playing pretend, and cooking with kids. Working with students who have disabilities I have gained ample experience with changing diapers, potty training, feeding techniques, encouraging functional language, simple sign language, and training behaviors. I love to be outdoors; riding bikes, hiking, snowboarding, rock climbing, and anything Read more in the sun. Cooking and cleaning are things that I enjoy doing throughout the day. If I sound like a good fit for you and your family, let's meet and see how perfect I could be to care for your children when you have to be away.
