Hi! My name is Maggie! I am a mom with a college degree specializing in early childhood education and family studies from PSU who is looking for part time employment! I am originally from NYC where I worked at places like the Children’s Museum of Art in Soho, educating families about the basics of introducing art into their families everyday lives as well as nannying for a variety of families with differing needs. I have experience teaching in both Reggio and Waldorf schools and find myself applying the practices of both regularly. Most recently I worked at the Opal School, inside the Portland Children’s Museum, where I was an educator with the school as well as a helper with museum engagement and functionality. I enjoy the outdoors, swimming, children’s literature, doing crafts projects, playing pretend, listening and exploring through music and dance, and I love animals! I truly enjoy working with families and have a great amount of respect for how hard it can be to find someone you can trust and appreciate in that role.
