Hi! I'm Madi, a current grad student at USD from Portland, Oregon. I have over 10 years of experience working with a wide range of ages, from infants all the way up to middle schoolers. My childcare experience includes four years at the Mittleman Jewish Community Center in Portland, where I worked as a camp counselor throughout summer and holiday breaks. From ensuring a fun and inclusive environment to designing and leading enriching cultural/learning activities and being promoted to lead the aftercare program, my role at the JCC was involved and fulfilling. It also came with responsibilities that I took to heart, including collaborating with parents on behavioral strategies, prioritizing safety first, and organizing daily schedules. Beyond my experience at the JCC, I've had the privilege of being a part of numerous families' lives through babysitting and nanny roles — from chauffeuring kids to and from various activities and coordinating Read more playdates, to overnight stays and ensuring a smooth morning and night routine. For me, working with kids is more than just a job; it's about making a positive impact on their lives and seeing them grow and learn.
