Hello everyone! I have spent 7 years immersed in professional child care experiences. I began working with children at Camp Tamarack as a counselor, and worked my way up to being the Program Director. This means I oversaw educators, created curriculum, designed fun and educational programs, worked with children ages 7-12, and mentored students ages 14-19, all while maintaining a high standard for safety and fun. Working at camp cultivated my enthusiasm for working with children, and my desire to continue to innovate! In college, I studied education for two years, including field work. I am certified in CPR and first aid, several child and infant safety courses, and several child development and education courses. I also worked with children as a dance teacher during this time, and many young children while volunteering at the local homeless shelter. I have also worked in child care settings professionally. I have been Read more babysitting children, from infants to young teens, since 2015. I have also worked professionally as an assistant teacher in a Waldorf style preschool. Currently, I work as an assistant director for a dance studio, meaning I mentor and teach students, from 2 years old to 19 years old. This has allowed me to weave art and social emotional developmental skills into my interactions with children, in child care and educational settings. Fun and safety are very important to me, and I am a very enthusiastic and positive person! I would love to work with your child, and create a safe space for laughter, play, learning, and growth (also, I grew up on a farm, so I am completely fine with any animal care you may need in addition)!
