As the eldest of four siblings, I naturally assumed the role of caregiver early on, becoming the go-to babysitter for my family. This initial responsibility quickly evolved into a passion as I discovered my love for working with children. At age 15, I completed a babysitting course and obtained my CPR certification through the Red Cross. Concurrently, I pursued lifeguarding training, earning both Lifeguard and Water Safety certifications. Over the past six years, I've immersed myself in childcare, from babysitting and lifeguarding to teaching swim lessons, finding immense fulfillment in each role. Additionally, my involvement in my high school's Child Development program deepened my understanding of child development and education, culminating in assisting in an elementary school classroom during my senior year. Now, as I approach graduation from Oregon State University with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Communications, I am eager to continue my journey in childcare with a focus on nurturing and guiding children from infancy through adolescence.
