Kary E.

Kary is a competent, careful and consistent care provider. She cared for my two cats for almost 2 years. She was always prompt with her reports and would tell me if anything was out of the norm concerning the cats or my home. I appreciated her efforts very much. My only complaints are her inexperience with technology and refusal to accept payments with apps like Venmo/Cash app, etc. I work overseas and she also could not manage a texting app like Whatsapp/Messenger etc, and I could not use regular text as I had inconsistent cell service at best (I work in Afghanistan), and relied on WIFI. She also is not very good with much upset for others. She can be slightly passive aggressive, suggesting I did not want to pay her when I asked that we use a different form of payment instead of cash as I forgot twice to go to the ATM in the two years, and generally don't have that amount of cash on my person, she promptly quit on me thereafter and will not answer my texts. As a care provider, she did well for my cats, that I cannot dispute. But for my interactions, she was just a bit anxious and jumps to conclusions, another time thinking I was mad at her because I didn't answer her text report about the cats for a couple of days (my phone died that I could get some texts on). It would actually stress me out, reassuring her. But my experience may not be yours, if you can find your way around these eccentricities. Overall, she is meticulous, careful and consistent. Thankful for the care she provided.

I just returned from a one-week vacation to find a very contented cat. Kary is extremely professional and thoughtful, and she clearly loves animals. My cat had never been separated from me, so I was concerned on both our accounts. Kary wasn't bothered by his coolness and made friends with him over the course of the week. Just as importantly, she provided daily messages which kept me up-to-date on how well he was doing. With Kary looking after him, my anxiety was zero. I've known many petsitters over the year, but Kary is the best.

Kary initially came into our home to take care of our two young children, but we quickly discovered our dog loved her as much as my kids did! We are actually pretty convinced he loves her more than us! Kary is incredibly professional and thorough and does a wonderful job of walking, playing, feeding, and loving our somewhat quirky cocker spaniel whenever we are out of town. She goes above and beyond to make sure he is comfortable and well-taken care and we trust her implicitly. I would highly recommend Kary to anyone looking for an experienced, responsible pet caregiver.

We relocated to Oregon over a year ago and one of our first priorities was finding a reliable babysitter that could take care of our two little boys. We were absolutely delighted when we found Kary! Kary is incredibly professional and thorough and we instantly felt at ease leaving our children in her care. She does a great job relating to both of my children, playing and keeping them active outside whenever possible, and encouraging positive behavior. I know that when we are not there, we can rely on Kary to take incredible care of our children, while still maintaining positive discipline. Kary watched our dog for a long weekend. She had excellent references and was very organized and thorough. We immediately felt like she would be a great caregiver for our dog. We were right. My daughter has severe food allergies so usually I'm nervous to leave her with a sitter, but I trusted Kary 100% and never had a moment's concern. I knew that she could handle any situation that arose. For example, she always carries a first aid kit and manual. Also, she a very loving and caring person, and formed such a strong bond with my daughter that she looked forward to spending time with Kary. I also liked how Kary played with Lana outdoors whenever the weather allowed, taking her to the park and on walks. She also showed care and concern for every member of our family. She is very knowledgeable about many aspects of health and child development. We are so grateful that we found Kary, and so sad that she moved out of state. We miss her every day. If you're lucky enough to live near her, you should definitely hire her! She is irreplaceable!

Kary has been the absolute best sitter for my Corgi, Radar, and my cat, Tinkerbell :) I was new to the area, having just moved here with in November 2013 with the Air Force, and had plans to go back home to visit with family for Thanksgiving. Since I didn't know anyone, and plans were being made last minute, a friend recommended I try Sitter City where I was lucky to come across Kary's profile. She was very warm and welcoming from the start, and very excited to look after both my dog and cat. I brought both Radar and Tinkerbell over on a Saturday morning to meet Kary and her Australian Shepherd, Shanti, and we all became instant friends. Since then, Kary has watched both Radar and Tinkerbell on several occasions, up to a week at a time, and I can tell both look forward to spending time with her. Whenever we get to her house, Radar runs up to the door, excited to see everyone, and Tinkerbell happily wanders off and begins exploring without hesitation. She treats both of my pets as if they were her own, giving them plenty of attention and love, and I've never hesitated to call her if I ever need help watching them. It makes me happy knowing I have somewhere for my pets to go where they're being watched by someone who loves and cares about animals as much as I do. Thank you for everything, Kary!

Kary is extremely responsible and always on time. My kids love her. She keeps structure, but is very patient and caring. I love that she always keeps me informed of what went on during the day. Kary is a GREAT resource!!!!

Kary is a good find and a great resourced to have in your back pocket! Kary has watched our twin 1 year old boys for several months now. She is very attentive to their needs, and gives them lots of love. Their faces light up when she walks in the door. Not only does Kary take care of your children, she loves dogs--and we happen to have a dog! If you had dogs before children, you now know that after children, the dog gets much less attention, Kary helps fill that gap! Kary also helps the family out as a whole by taking care of some chores while she's watching your children, so when you do get home you can actually have quality family time. She's punctual, has all of her documents in order, and is very flexible with her schedule! Thanks Kary!

Our dogs had an excellent weekend with Kary. We were able to relax and enjoy our trip knowing they were in such great hands. We'd absolutely recommend Kary to anyone in need of a great pet sitter!

Kary did an excellent job caring for my two little dogs while I was on vacation for two weeks. The dogs just loved Kary from the first time they met her and they were very happy and content while I was away. I will continue to use Kary anytime I need a dog sitter and highly recommend her for caring for dogs.

My kids were content the minute she came in the door. Her presence is soft and she is just delightful. I would have her into our home to watch our kids anytime she is willing. So blessed to have found her.

Kary was an outstanding choice for us! She did an excellent job taking care of our Corgi, Molly, during a week long vacation. She transformed our sad puppy who was missing her family desperately into a happy, well-behaved, calm puppy. And most amazingly, our dog (who doesn't like other dogs) made a real friend with Kary's dog! A miracle!!!! We will definitely continue to use Kary anytime Molly needs a sitter.

Kary E. is top notch! We had our sitter cancel on us last minute and Kary E. came to our rescue just hours before my husband and I had to be at our work function. I must add that we were under a blizzard weather warning as well...it didn't stop her!
