Hi, I'm Emmy . I have worked with children in centers, in homes, as a baby sitter , as a nanny , as a mother's helper, as a preschool teacher, as a child development/ parenting/ behavior guidance educator and home visitor. I have worked with children from birth through late teens. I have spent more than 29 years working with children. I love all ages (as one very positive mama said - " every age is the best age!" There are things about each age and stage if development I enjoy and I truly love seeing kids grow and learn and develop. I have experience working with children who have medical or developmental special needs as well. I love dogs and cats as well. I would love to support your family in keeping your kids safe and helping them explore the world.

I am a mother and grandmother. My professional experience includes providing doula care for over 12 years. I received my certification as an early childhood education specialist in the States of Iowa and Kansas. I was also a licensed home daycare provider in Kansas. I would like to find a family with a young child/ren in need of a loving, nurturing nanny. I enjoy creating supportive learning environments for children wherever we may be, whether that is in a chair with a book, on the floor with toys, in the kitchen, garden, at the library or parks. I am a low screen-time provider, but value their limited use. I am fine with meal preparation and light house keeping which come with child care. In my role as nanny, I give support and relief to parents by providing exceptional care for your child/ren so you can focus on work. As a result, your time as a family will be more calm and enjoyable.

Schooling for Pediatrics oncology and development 5 years left! I have an unreasonable about of extra crafts and will play hide and seek 45 times till we forget what game it might be and tap tag your it!! But here’s the thing I Have rules yeah I know Who am I to bring rules into your home but but here me out I’m just not comfortable with certain things. Everyone has different parenting styles and it’s for a good reason we need different kind of adults were blue printing these little hearts. 1. I will not spank tap or grab The only time I could possibly see a grab being acceptable is it an immediate safety situation. (walk into a street with a car, anything hot ect… you get the point) 2. Timeouts Basic time to reflect on the situation is greatly needed it was just a little bit of communication things can get resolved really quickly! Kids have voices and if something I am or they are doing is provoking emotion I want to here it and I don’t feel comfortable closing a physical door for growth. 3. T.V/movies Tons of shows and movies can teach us a lot but five hours of sitting. Then expecting them to go lay down for a nap or bed feels unfair and For us to to believe that scenario will work out in our favor is it set up for failure for the kiddos

In 10 years as a nanny in Portland, I have worked with some wonderful families. I thrive in an environment where I have the empowerment and freedom to keep to a schedule while leaving things flexible to accommodate changes. I value safety, kindness and fun. Time outdoors or at cultural events are always time well spent and time at home should be filled with joy and snacks! I have a BS from Smith College in Psychology and a minor in Developmental Education. My experience includes foster parenting, substitute teaching K-12; student teaching, teaching crafts to kids through Catholic Charities, as well as teaching adults. You will find me to be mature, open to suggestion, punctual, transparent, with good boundaries, and open communication. I am also silly, crafty, patient, open, kind, and fun - so I’m told by adults and kids alike.

Hi! I'm Danika, I'm 24 years old and I love working with kids! i have a 2 year old baby girl at home, but i'm no stranger to childcare! There is a chance i will have to bring my daughter along, due to childcare issues but she's super well behaved & loves to play! I had a younger sibling that I grew up watching and taking care of. I've had three + years of childcare experience, as well as volunteering in a special education classroom for high school and elementary. I also worked in the nursery at my church when I was younger. I am a paraeducator for special education preschool as well! I'm super outgoing and all about fun and hard work! I have a lot of patience when it comes to kids, always putting them first.

Hello! I absolutely love children of all ages. In high school and college, I baby sat children from a few weeks old to 12 years. I have worked with a lot of multiple-children families and am comfortable with multi-tasking. I love active play as well as doing art projects and baking with the children that I am caring for. I don’t believe that you are paying me to watch your children watch television, so I try to make sure we are always doing some sort of activity. I have tutored children in many subjects and if your kids are school-aged, their homework is a priority of mine. I speak Spanish at a conversational level and am always up for teaching kids some basic Spanish while I am with them. I also can sign ASL. If you need help with any housework (such as laundry or prep-cooking, etc.), I would love to assist with that while the children are sleeping or engaged in another project. I look forward to meeting your family!

I’ve never actually applied for a position as a nanny before but I have a big family so I pretty much grew up watching my younger cousins 24/7. I also have experience working in childcare, however, I haven’t worked since March of 2024 when I had my child. I definitely enjoy being around kids, childcare was probably one of my top favorite jobs minus the adults that I worked with. Childcare is probably one of the most drama filled jobs I’ve ever worked in. Despite all the drama, the kids definitely made it worth going to work. I’ve worked for a majority of curriculum based daycares and loved it. Being able to be apart of a child’s development and to watch them grow developmentally day-to-day is one of the most rewarding feelings ever.
