I've been in childcare since I was twelve years old, eighteen entire years! I used to babysit for my mom and dad, as the oldest sibling in my family of seven children. Friends from our community knew I was good with the little kids and asked for me to come and watch theirs, and it all snowballed from there. I've worked in church daycares, at summer camps, for six families as a private child caretaker, in schools as a teacher's assistant and more. I am comfortable working with autism spectrum kids, too, since my a lot of my family are on the spectrum. That's actually how I met my first nanny kiddo; he was on the spectrum and we became friends at the shop I worked at when his mom and he would come in to eat. His mom came in one day and said he loved me and their nanny had to go, so could she pay me a dollar more than what I was getting paid now and full time? It was all very kismet. I worked for them full time for about a year after until I moved. I am super creative but also super responsible. I like the balance of art and productivity. I love making lists and checking them off: it gives me a sense of purpose and calm and tangible proof that I'm making moves in the right direction. I am alllll about finding creative ways to be kind and handle any kind of upset with empathy and compassion and compromise. Not even lots of crying stresses me out; I just view it as another avenue of processing in a big world that kids have, among many others, of getting their feelings out when they feel they can't properly express it with their language. I like to find things to do to change the mood when things like that come up, like a game or a trip, instead of letting them get too stuck in the upset. Or sometimes we sing the Breathing Song from Esme and Roy! My biggest strength as a nanny is my commuication skills with parents. I want to work alongside you as another team member and an advocate for your family! I'm there to make your guys' lives all a little easier. If there's anything to do that would make that happen, I more than want to hear about it and it means so much to me when it's expressed. I show my love and care for people through acts of service, so that's always been a great source of pride for me. I am CPR/First Aid certified, have my own car and am currently working for two families. I started working with their children since they were 6 months and 8 months and they're now both almost 2 and 3.

I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy being around kids. I grew up helping care for my younger brothers, and over time, it became something I truly loved doing. I enjoy creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment for kids, whether that’s playing, helping with homework, or just being someone they can trust. I have about 6 years of personal experience caring for my younger brothers, which really taught me patience and responsibility. On top of that, I’ve worked with families for around 2 years as a babysitter, giving me more hands-on experience with different age groups and routines. I’m dependable, patient, and very attentive. I’m good at keeping kids engaged with activities and making sure they feel comfortable. I also know how to handle basic safety and routines, like meal prep, bedtime, and helping with homework.

I am 37 and a mother of 3 kiddos. My oldest just completed her first semester in college and is following her dream of one day becoming an FBI agent. Both of my boys are on the spectrum. My oldest son is in highschool and is higher functioning, but had many many struggles with anxiety growing up so together we went to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and learned love, patience, understanding and putting in the work along with many other tools can help you overcome some overwhelming situations. My youngest is a non verbal 2yo that has a laugh that can make any and everyone smile. I have several other family members on the spectrum so while I noticed my youngest sons signs of having autism very early on it never prepared me for the struggles we would face and concur as he progresses and grows into the best him he can be. I am not an expert but am fairly knowledgeable of OT, speech, and will be recieving parent training from ABA. Besides my own children I have helped raise my nieces, nephews and family friends children! My junior year of highschool I was a live in nanny for a young deaf child. I’m an out of the box thinker and am very creative which has especially come in handy with my toddler and getting him on track to hit milestones at more of an age appropriate time frame. I love making activities/toys/organizers etc that the kids love and it ultimately helps them progress more. I love outside (except on the Maryland freezing days) but I know of a ton of fun indoor places to keep everyone happy! I’m an open book. I have nothing to hide and normally share more than I probably should, at least that’s what my husband tells me. I would love to care for your child/children and leave you with no worries as I’d be caring for them as well if not better than my own kiddos!

I have extensive experience with taking care of children from toddlers to children 11 years old. I have been nannying and babysitting for as long as I can remember and love helping and getting to know families. I am also a former preschool music teacher, and have plenty of experience caring for multiple children at a time. I absolutely adore kids, and taking care of them as a full time job is a dream to me. I am able to help with housekeeping, meal prep, and homework. I am CPR certified, have a college degree, do not smoke, am comfortable with pets, and have my own transportation. I'd be happy to care for your children and provide fun activities that will help them learn while keeping them entertained. I would also be happy to provide proof of vaccination.

I graduated from public high school in 2020 within the early childhood education pathway. I have directly worked with the ages 3-4 in a classroom setting due to that opportunity. I enjoy demonstrating social and emotional intelligence, as well as learning from the kids I am teaching!
