I was a nanny for six years for two different families, and cared for children ranging from newborn to 8 years old. I have also been babysitting for 21 years and cared for children ranging from newborn to 17 years old. I substitute taught for two years for kindergarten through high school. I have also worked at summer camps. I am consistent, kind, patient, fun and organized. I prefer to do my best to match employer’s methods and techniques as to create consistency for the children. I have experience making meals, changing diapers, doing household chores, grocery shopping, and going on outings to museums and parks. I have skill with arts and crafts and playing games. I also have experience with autism, speech therapy, and baby sign language. I prefer to have children occupied learning and using their imagination instead of watching TV, movies, or tablets, though I also have Read more experience teaching children how to use their technologies. It is important to me to help children grow and learn, and I meet them at their level. I have experience teaching the alphabet, numbers and math, as well as early reading and site words. I also have experience tutoring. I have taught basic Spanish and French at parents’ request. When discipline is needed, I used the preferred method of time out, as seen on the TV show Super Nanny. I was cleared by the state of Pennsylvania to work with children in 2012-2013 and have been first aid and CPR certified in the past. I am happy to renew any of these as required by my position.
