Hi there! My name is Shayana but most people call me Shay. I am 27 years old and currently reside in Exton, Pennsylvania with my high school sweetheart and two doggies. I was born and raised in Philadelphia but moved to the greater Philadelphia area to connect with nature. I am currently attending Penn State University for my undergrad degree in Psychology and minoring in Human Development and Family Studies with the intent of becoming a child therapist. Being a nanny is the reason I decided to go to school because I knew I want to continue to help mold sweet little minds. Making a difference in children's lives is something that I truly feel connected with and feel is my purpose here on earth. In my free time I love to practice playing my acoustic guitar, crafting, listening to music, gardening, reading, and playing video games. I love to Read more spend time with my family, friends, and my two sweet pups Coco and Cova. I've had the pleasure of being in child care for about 7 years now. I have been lucky enough to help 6 families care for their beautiful babies. The longest family that I have been with was close to 5 years and the shortest time I have been with a family has been a year and a half. I've cared for babies from 3 weeks old to 9 years old. Most of my experience is with newborns to around 3 years old but I have also gained a lot of experience with preschool and elementary years from my most recent position. I have experience with colicky babies, babies who needs physical therapy assistance, help with bottle feeding, scheduling, and developmental activities. I also have experience with dealing with multiples as my last family had 4 children. My goal is to always be an addition to your family while providing safe and loving care for your children. My experience also allows me to tailor my care to match individual needs. I also value professionalism so good attendance, reliability, honesty, respecting your privacy, and being a good role model are also priorities of mine.
