I am a Americorps City Year alumni, completed in 2013. I worked in Philadelphia in this program focusing on math, literacy, attendance and behavior with middle schoolers. I have nearly completed a degree in Art Education for K-12 students, and have workshop experience and student teaching for the arts for elementary students through high schoolers. I've been babysitting and seasonal nannying sporadically since I was 12 back in 2006! I am energetic and patient, and my experience as an educator allows me to create and follow routines and engage with children in one-on-one and group settings about a variety of their interests and needs. My personal philosophy encourages fostering curiosity, emotional literacy, and critical thinking skills.
