I have had a plethora of experience caring for children of all ages. I have babysat and nannied numerous families from the age of 14 years old in Philadelphia and Baltimore. I worked at ESF day camps for two years as a camp counselor of children ages 4-9 years old. At the University level, I coordinate a child literacy program after-school, to work on reading and writing skills in their own stories. This program works with kids ranging from 6-10 years old. I currently am employed in a Domestic Violence shelter in the Child Care Center there, working with children ranging from infants- 4 years old. Beginning in August 2015 after my college graduation from Loyola University in May, I am employed as a City Year AmeriCorps vista working with middle school students who are targeted at risk for dropping out of school. I want to work with children for Read more the rest of my life, and hope to some day open a non profit fitness center for kids living in marginalized areas of Philadelphia I am a passionate youth advocate, and genuinely love working with children of all ages! I have had experience working with kids all throughout my life. I am the oldest sibling, and oldest cousin of over 15 cousins and was put in a caregiver position from a young age. Kids are my passion, and i know i have the ability to educate and learn with them! I am a passionate athlete and love arts-crafts and being creative. I believe the outdoors do amazing things for kids, and stimulating indoor activities are great as well!
