Hello! I am fully vaccinated (Covid-19). I have been working nearly full time as a nanny for the past five years, and I'm looking for another family to love beginning September 2021 part time. I am not available M-F 8 am - 1 pm, except for school closures on holidays and breaks, as I work at the Waldorf School in Princeton. I’m looking for a minimum of 8 hours on weekday afternoons. The most recent families I worked for had a 3 & 5 year old (& a puppy), and a 5 & 7 month old. I’m open to a nanny share and/or a somewhat flexible schedule, and I'm comfortable driving children around/taking to activities, as long as car seats are provided. Additionally, I am a passionate yoga instructor, both to adults and children, Tinkergarten leader, and farmers market manager on Saturdays for half of the year. I started babysitting Read more 18 years ago and also worked at a nature-based preschool inspired by the Reggio-Emilia approach. I am somewhat familiar with the Montessori philosophy as well. I think it’s extremely important for children to spend as much time as possible outdoors and work hard to make that possible. I enjoy cooking & baking healthy snacks, reading to children, and doing puzzles. I truly enjoy spending time with children, as I'm an educator at heart. I am very environmentally conscious, and I encourage habits that are responsible to the Earth. I would love to find a family that values play based education, respect for the natural world, and positive parenting. I am familiar with many kinds of diets, allergies and food sensitivities. My ideal work days would be Tuesday-Friday, as my husband’s days off are Sunday/Monday although I’m open to M-F. Thanks for your interest! We were blessed to have Kathleen come into our lives when I had a 2 1/2 boy and a 4 month old boy. We went on to have 2 more boys and Kathleen was the only sitter I ever had that I could trust to handle 4 boys. She is patient and dependable and trustworthy. What I loved most about Kathleen was her creativity. I never once came home to the TV on or the boys playing electronics. Instead, I came home to crafts being created, robots being made out of old juice box containers and gatorade caps and homemade play dough being made. She took them on nature hikes and always had them interested and wanting to have her back. In fact, my boys would beg to have Kathleen babysit. She is a gem and we miss her immensely.
