Hi, my name is Emily! I have many years of experience caring for infants and young children, including being a mother myself. My son is 5 months old and I currently stay at home with him. Prior to becoming a mom I babysat infants as young as 1 month up to ages 3-5. I am patient and understanding, as well as responsible and dependable. As a teenager I received my babysitting certificate through the American Red Cross, and I have taken and been certified twice in Adult/Pediatric/Infant CPR/First Aid/AED. Each certification lasting 2 years. My certification is due to be renewed, however I already plan to get a refresher course prior to my son starting solids. Aside from babysitting I have worked in fast food, and as a veterinary technician at a vet clinic. I love animals and would be comfortable with them in your home. I have a passion for treating children with respect and understanding, and raising adults who can thrive in the world around them. I love to prepare healthy meals and snacks, and I don’t mind getting messy and having fun. I am a cloth diapering, breastfeeding mama as well as a dog and cat mom. I am a huge advocate for respecting the choices parents make in the best interest of their little ones and will be sure to respect and follow any routines, rules, and requests.
