In addition I have worked for 5 years for childcare focused non-profits that provided training, community and resources for childcare providers and educators: Life is Good Kids Foundation and SchoolTalkDC. While working with these non-profits, I was able to contextualize my experience in child development theory and research and receive extensive training in trauma-informed and healing centered approaches. I have a degree in conflict resolution and reconciliation and am currently training as a birth and postpartum doula. My approach to childcare is relationship-based. After safety, building a trusting creative and loving relationship with the kids is my first priority.
