I am an happily married empty nester looking for new and exciting ways to utilize my skill set. I am very personable, fun, considerate, attentive to the needs of children. I raised two sons who lead happy and productive lives. I have watched a little girl for the last 4 years. We had a lot of fun together traveling to parks, visiting neighbors, shopping, and adventures exploring our little town and outdoors. I believe every moment you spend with a child should be a teachable moment no matter how brief. I believe the best way to engage a child is simply to talk to them. Ask thought-provoking questions, discuss memories, make-believe, television shows and movies. Prepare for the day by planning an activity and then recap the day's activities always in an age-appropriate dialog. I love spending time with children and believe I also benefit from their young, curious minds.
