I am writing this to you in response to the job listing on Indeed.com in search of a full time nanny. I believe I would be a perfect fit for this position. I have loved children as well as cared for them my whole life. Even as a child myself. My mother had my sister when I was 9 and use to work until early hours of the morning. She couldn't afford childcare and didnt qualify for any assistance to help pay for it so I would care for my infant sister as a child. Diaper changing, play time, making bottles properly, amongst other things, were all second nature to me by the age of 10 and I loved every minute of it. Over the years I have grown a true passion for childcare. I currently work as a Toddler teacher and have been one for the past year but Read more I have worked with children of all ages since including infants for almost 7 years. I am grateful for what I have learned but I have noticed I thrive in focusing on a single child or a small group. This is the reason I feel it is time for a change where I can improve my skills. I have enjoyed teaching all age groups but have never had the opportunity to really focus on the age group I love the most, infants! This is just another reason why I am particulary enthusiastic about this position. Over the years my favorite part about being in child care besides spending time with the children and watching them grow and learn, is the trust I have gained from their parents/families. Gaining trust and respect is a top priority for me and an important aspect of any child care position. I have gratefully received several compliments and appraisal from my director, parents, and even children on my performance as far as treatment of the children, as well as the teaching aspect. I am confindent that I will be a perfect match for this position as I love infants, helping others, and can easily arrive by public transportation as well as being fluent in Spanish. I also have all the appropriate certificates in first aid and cpr specializing in children and infants as well as all the clearances and background checks required in order to work with children in a daycare and preschool settings.
