I am the aunt of a parent who hired Danience Hutchinson to care for my nephew. My sister interviewed Danience back in August 2022. During her interview she was advised on what my sister’s work hours were and the professional she was in. My sister asked if she was able to work overtime from time to time, Danience stated yes. My sister also informed Danience that she would be flexible with time off for scheduled appointments. After her interview, Danience was fully aware of the job's duties and responsibilities, and agreed to take on the position, even after my sister informed her that there were other candidates ready to take on the job. From August to December, Danience has been great! She showed up to work on time and ensured she followed the schedule laid out for my nephew. On December 4,2022, Danience reached out to my sister and stated she was sick. She informed my sister of the matter at 2:03am, knowing her shift started at 6am. Danience continued this pattern until she allegedly felt better on December 6, 2022 December 15-17, 2022, she did not show up to work, with a no call no show. After several events of unprofessionalism, Danience should have been fired but my sister considered the fact that she took very good care of my nephew. So my sister decided to keep Danience on board. On December 26, 2022, Danience informed my sister that she was away in North Carolina and that she may be a little late for her shift that day. As time approached for her shift to start, Danince texted my sister and stated that she was stuck in North Carolina and would be on time for her shift the next day. This scenario of allegedly being “stuck in North Carolina” continued until January 1, 2023. On January 1, 2023, my sister sent a text to Danience stating that her services were no longer needed. On February 14,2023, Dainence reached out to my sister inquiring if she still needed child care and that she missed/loved my nephew. Danience began her shift again on February 21,2023. On March 22, 2023, Danience texted my sister stating that an opportunity has presented itself and she will no longer be able to care for my nephew. This resulted in another no show and leaving my sister again without reliable child care. Upon Danience's return on February 21,2023, my sister’s only request for Danience was to inform her about new opportunities in an ample amount of time. This was to give my sister time to find new child care. Danience has exhibited her lack of consistency, reliability, honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness. She should not be given the opportunity to care for another child and leave the parent(s) jammed without child care. Ironically, my sister and I saw a review for a prior employer of Danience stating that she always had car issues. My sister and I decided to give her grace and allow her to prove us wrong about the review. However, we made a poor choice of judgment and it resulted in my sister being left with inconsistent child care

She’s good with the kids hands down but her being on time and reliable is a issue. I had to call out of work over 5 times within the 4 months she watched my child. If she becomes more reliable and on time she will be good.
