Hi! Please ask me more about my badge! I'm Ciani, a former national guardsman, and a lover of the arts, vegan food, and children! I love to read, act, dance, and attend plays. I'm also well-versed with pets ( Riley & Onyx are my two cats <3 ) and always in an attitude of gratitude. I have had experience in caring for children (3 months - 8 y.o.) non-consecutively for 8+ years, but more consecutively since 2019. I have had educational experience including some developmental courses I have taken (infancy to adolescence) in school and my certificate for not only pediatric but adult CPR & First Aid (valid until Aug. 2024). I do have a license and I do own a car. I've assisted with laundry & nap training, light housekeeping during nap times --children’s laundry, straightening up, emptying the dishwasher, cleaning their messes, etc.), pick-up and drop-off (safe & Read more reliable car, clean driving record, and dashcam! ) to&from school. I've even had the pleasure of engaging in fun & useful activities with children, such as baking and teaching children their ABCs & 123s. Previously enlisted in the Army as a "Food Service Specialist" (92G), I can prepare and/or cook meals occasionally or as needed. I also have experience cooking for restaurants in the civilian world. Why children? Well, I love children; their inquiring minds make them so fun to be around. I honestly believe they are one of life’s many great teachers. It's a constant learning experience with children from both the caregivers and the child's end! I'm looking forward to walks around the neighborhood, kid-friendly events, Kimmel events, holiday events, and more to experience with my next family! I would appreciate the opportunity to not only meet with you in the near future but to contribute to the developmental goals that you or you and your partner may have for your child(ren) by being willing to put in the effort to engage with your child(ren) in a meaningful way. I'm a huge advocate for communicating effectively&thoughtfully and I understand the importance of a child feeling supported and safe in their home and comfortable enough to look to their nanny to help facilitate that support. Should any interviews be conducted on your interest in me as a nanny/sitter for the near future, I would love nothing more than to coordinate a phone interview.
