I believe children thrive best with active play, outdoor activities, and minimal technology outside of school work. My energy is nurturing, engaging, and empathetic. Your child will always be my first priority; I believe that children are the future. I seek to enrich their creative skills through crafts and artful expression, and teach kindness and love above all. I consistently prepare healthy snacks and meals, at your discretion, in order to promote healthy brains and bodies. I have experience with children of all ages, spanning from newborn up to pre-teens. I began my career as a nanny for multiple families during my high school years, and was an after school hula hoop instructor for grades 2-5 at an Elementary School in Philadelphia for a year. Additionally, I have tutored a 5th grader when I was a Big Sister in the the Little Sister, Big Sister program. I have cared for Read more a a 5 month old who requires several exercises for occupational therapy purposes multiple times a day. My most recent experiences spans 2 years. One nanny babe was a year with a sweet and intelligent boy of 9 months to begin with, and is 27 months now. We go to music class, the library, and spend most of the time outdoors, weather permitting. I currently spend 2 days/ week with an 18 month old girl and her sister who is on the spectrum. I love learning about them and how to best provide care and nurturing support to suit their individual needs. I am still in touch with my previous families and love to see the stellar adults some have turned into! I speak Spanish fluently, as it was my minor in college, and am happy to use my education to encourage children to learn another language. I love to help children learn and am happy to adhere to their current curriculum as well as expand it, if so desired. I am 35 years old with availability most Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as some weekends.
