Hi :) My name is Alex and I have been a babysitter and/or nanny for over 10 years now! I started my journey during my summer and school breaks in High School and College and fell in love with the ability to work with kids daily, help them grow, learn, and develop, and build relationships with families. I do NOT smoke, I have car insurance and a clean record, a clean background check, and a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition (so also basic medical background and CPR/First Aid training). To top it off, after years of experience with other families, I now have my own 23 month old son who was born prematurely at 34 weeks. I love staying home with my kiddo but would love the opportunity to help another family, and if ok, bring him along for some socialization or welcome you to our home! We Read more are big dog people, we love to bake and cook, do crafts, play games for gross motor and fine motor, and listen to music (Sesame street and CocoMelon are big in our house). My son also loves to read and color, so art and story time are always part of our daily routines! We LOVE being outside. My son's most favorite things include running down hills, playing with rocks, going for walks, driving in his toy car, and ANYTHING relating to water :) I do want to let you know that I am a Type 1 Diabetic and use an insulin pump. I always like to let families know this so they are not concerned about needle usage. I use a pump attached to me and it's very easy and worry-free. Also, because my son was premature (and born with a heart condition), and we are both high risk, I am fully vaccinated as is my husband. But because he is NOT, we are as cautious as we can be and ask that families we work with respect and do the same or notify us for large gatherings, etc. :) I encourage you to reach out with any questions or concerns.
