Hi, My name is Melannie I have a BFA in Directing Playwrighting and Production and currently work for a nonprofit theatre. Work has been very slow and hard to do because of covid. As a nanny, I can say theatre plays a strong role in my care for children. A quick cute story I like to share is about a child I use to care for that was 5 years old and battled with clean-up time. I would make puppets with socks and make a silly character voice and it created a smoother transition to end playtime and start the next task. Eventually, he didn't need the puppets after we built a relationship and could identify our time.
