Hello, I have been in the childcare field for several years. I have worked in corporate childcare centers, for a public school system in Pennsylvania and have done home childcare. I have worked with children ages newborn through fifth grade. I have made lesson plans to follow state guidelines. While working for the school system I was a Library/Remedial-Enrichment Aide. I would work in the library one day a week. The rest of the week I would work with the children one on one or in small groups to help them reach their goals. I have taken several classes in Early Childhood Development and Curriculum, as well as classes that pertain to childcare. At my previous center, parents would request to have their children in my class and I was fortunate to have my one group of children from newborn until they were three.
