“Children are not a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work.” I love this quote by C.S. Lewis and I am thankful to play a role in helping children learn and grow. I have been around children for over 10 years, working part time in college as a Sunday school teacher and the occasional babysitter and I also directed children’s ministry for a couple years after graduation. My nanny experience has been with 2 families, 4 years with each. Caring for children reflects the nature of my nurturing and compassionate personality. I have a child of my own now - baby boy born 11/11/22 - and I am looking to connect with families that are comfortable with me bringing him to work*. I have recommendation letters that I’d be happy to share. I look forward to growing with a new family! *I realize many parents desire Read more the 1:1 ratio of caregiver to child. I do not take lightly the trust parents give me to care for their children. Socialization, patience, and compassion are notable benefits of caring for more than one child. Furthermore, my attention will be solely focused on my job as caretaker/mother as I will not be distracted thinking about my child in someone else’s care.
