Hi! My name is Allie Lehr. I recently graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in psychology and just moved to Saint Louis to start earning my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have always had a special connection with kids and got my first gig as a mother's helper when I was 12 years old. Over the last 10 years, I have experience working with children ages three weeks to eleven years old, twins and children with disabilities. In addition to my extensive babysitting experience, I have coached gymnastics, tutored, and worked as a camp counselor. I also spent two summers working as an AuPair for a family in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. This experience as a live in nanny was incredible as I gained experience with children as well as had an opportunity to truly live another culture. Living in a traditional spanish Read more town also helped me improve my spanish. Though I wouldn't quite say I am fluent, I can read, write and converse very proficiently. Over the last two years, while in school, I have worked part time for a family with three kids. I started when the youngest was just three weeks old. The kids are now 2, 3.5 and 6 and the connection I have built with them is incredible. For me, babysitting is more than a job and I do my best provide a fun, activity filled, and nurturing environment that will leave the kids smiling and parents feeling secure. As my experience shows, I really enjoy spending time with kids. I am creative, hardworking, responsible, and like to have fun. Please contact me with any questions and I have references upon request!

Allie has been with our family for the past 2 years (since my youngest was a newborn) and we are brokenhearted that she is moving to go to grad school. Truly, the next family that scoops Allie up will be the luckiest! She is amazing with children of all ages. She loves to engage with them, play outside, and keep them busy! We have 3 little ones (including a very strong willed oldest one) who are all high energy and Allie easily keeps up with them all while maintaining control. She has kept them overnight for multiple days and drives them to various activities. She is very responsible, kind, warm, fun, creative, and has a backbone when she needs one with small children. She is like family to us and I would *highly* recommend Allie. She is one in a million. <3
