My primary experience with children comes from my personal life - I have two younger brothers, currently ages 9 and 15. I spent a significant amount of time babysitting them during high school, as both my parents had full-time jobs. I also had a bit of a monopoly on babysitting for my high school teachers, and so I provide any number of personal references. From August of 2012 to September of 2014, I was the sole childcare provider for Kaleidoscope Multi-Ethnic Fellowship. I was responsible for entertaining anywhere from 5 to 15 children, ages 0-12, and ensuring that the environment was suitable for children with a variety of cultural backgrounds. Currently, I serve as an Academic Enrichment Mentor for the 501(c)3 nonprofit Supplies for Dreams. In that capacity, I work directly with sixth-grade Chicago Public School students in order to enhance their personal and academic development.
