I have a passion for working with children, which has led me to work as a Day Camp Counselor for the Franklin Family YMCA for the past two summers. The position required an enthusiastic personality and encouraged harmonious relationships with staff, members, volunteers, and school leaders, in particular with the children with whom I was working. The expectations particularly lay in ensuring a safe and risk free environment in all childcare areas and maintaining appropriate security procedures at all times. The children ranged from six weeks to 12 years, which led to considerable flexibility while planning crafts and activities to keep the children entertained and engaged in a learning and growing environment. I acted as a role model to campers at all times, requiring constant examples of good judgment and enthusiasm for all activities in which we engaged. I was tasked with helping to organize the weekly schedule of the Read more camp with my supervisor and coworkers.
