As a bi-lingual mother and grandmother with experience in a home for little children environment and Waldorf pedagogy-inspired and Spanish immersion (my native language), I am totally committed to the evolutionary present of each of the children and absolutely responsible for my own growth because, I know that children learn by imitation. My focus is to work conscientiously to have happy children who tomorrow will be mentally healthy, compassionate adults, capable of connecting with themselves, with their emotional environment, with their close environment and with nature. As a self-taught Waldorf Pedagogy (5 years) of study in the Rudolf Steiner approach, I have a diploma in "Guidelines for respectful child rearing and education within the Waldorf approach." I am Colombian, a software engineering professional; I worked during 20 years in Colombia, a mother of 3 professional children and a grandmother of 3 grandchildren (they all live in Read more Medellín, Colombia). In the United States I have been dedicated to child care since 2013. My pedagogical approach prepares children for future formal learning, by firs giving them the time and opportunity to develop socially, emotionally and physically in a creative, safe, supportive and harmonious environment. I intertwine artistic and physical activity with the aim of safeguarding the conditions so that the child's learning always be instinctive and rewarding, thus ensuring that knowledge and skills are acquired with enthusiasm and joy, creating a love learnin that lasts a lifetime. Formal learning befins at age six, in ine with most countries around the worl, allowing the younget child to develop through play, imitation and self-exploration as a foundation for well-being. I have a "Home for little children". The business has been open par-time for several years. I like care children 100% so that the parents have peace of mind leaving them here in a very safe place, in Farragut, TN, with a conservative minded woman who love children. Always hoping that the positive and loving experience of the little ones in my little school gives their parents peace of mind. I'm also open to keeping the children in their own homes whenever the parents wish.
