Hello! My name is Taryn, I’m 20 and I am passionate about working with children, and I love pets (I’m happy to walk your dog(s) and take care of any other pets you have if needed). I currently attend the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and I’m hoping to find a family that is looking for a nanny/frequent sitter. I’m currently in Knoxville TN, but will be in Darien IL the weekend of May 17th for summer you. I’m looking for a full time job but I can be flexible! I’m a sophomore and I’m studying to become a pediatric occupational therapist. I have a deep understanding of child development and the importance of fostering a positive and nurturing environment for children. I am committed to providing high-quality care that promotes growth, development, and learning for all the children I work with. I also have a younger brother who has Read more autism and intermittent explosive disorder. I have spent countless hours working with him, learning about his needs and how to provide the best possible care for him. I have developed the patience, empathy, and the skills that are necessary to provide excellent care for children with a wide range of unique needs. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old, and I worked at an after school daycare program at the Lagrange Highlands Elementary/Middle school for a year, before going to college. During my time at the daycare, I worked with children in kindergarten up to fifth grade, however I also have experience taking care of infants and toddlers. This past summer I was a full-time nanny for an 11 year old girl with some special needs, where I would drive her to her activities, ride bikes, swim, paint, bake desserts, make slime, and do other fun actives with. I also made her breakfast and lunch, and did various chores/maintenance cleaning each day. I know how important it is to feel comfortable and confident about leaving your children with a nanny/sitter, and I am more than happy to stop by to meet you and your kiddos before being hired. Thank you for considering me as your nanny. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your family!
