In my younger years, I was a nanny twice - once to 3 children and once to 2. I have babysat since I was 12 years old (I am now 48) and have worked in many nurseries, day care centers, and homes. I decided to go back to school to earn my degree in education and a Master's degree in Special Education, but the extensive testing and the way public schools are run is so disheartening I am thinking of making a change. I have over 20 years of experience teaching children with special needs from birth to high school age, with the majority of the times teaching preschoolers - both typical and those with special needs. I have worked at Sylvan Learning part-time so I am gaining more experience in how a typical student is being taught. There I work with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. I would Read more love to help your child with homework! Note that I didn't do the background check through this site, but I did teach in a public school system and I had to have a clean background check to do so. My hours and availability are different depending on where you are and where I am at the time I am needed. I can probably work around what you need but it might take a few weeks to get everything in place to do so. All pricing is negotiable depending on distance, time needed, etc.
