I am a college student looking for an after-school or evening nanny job. During our current situation, the prospect of having someone else care for your child can be, understandably, frightening. However, I promise that I am willing to take any and every precaution desired to protect you and your child. My biggest concern is always the safety and well-being of any child/children in my care. Choosing a younger person, especially a college student, doesn't always seem the best choice for a nanny, so why should you choose me? Well, I love kids, and they tend to love me, but not only that, I know kids. My mom started an at-home nanny job when I was 10. Being homeschooled, I helped out with the kids a lot. By the time I was 13, the parents felt safe letting my mom leave me home with the kids while she ran errands. Read more I also babysat for the families in the evenings multiple times. When I was 15, I started working as a camp counselor every summer where I have round the clock responsibility for up to 8 girls from the ages of 8-12 for an entire week. At 17, I got my own nanny job for a 6mo little girl; I watched her until she was put in daycare at a year. When I was 18, I took over my mother's job caring for two children under a year for two months while she recovered from a surgery. For the past two years I have worked in the nursery at my church every Sunday. To sum it all up, I have had 11 years of caring for both boys and girls between the ages of 2mo and 12yrs. I am willing to provide as many references as you would like.
