Hello! My name is Jess. I'm 29 years old and have been the sole nanny/babysitter for several families since I was 16. The most recent family I cared for was in Surrey, UK, as I was living there and studying abroad last year. They had a 3 year-old-girl, a 7 year-old-boy, and another 11 year-old-boy. It was a real treat learning to drive on the opposite side of the road to get them to school! :) We played badminton, cricket, tent-building, park walking, and jumped on the trampoline (a lot). We also did dinner together, homework, bath time, errands, stories before bedtime, etc. I have been responsible for children as young as infant/newborn and as old as teen/high-school age. I love kids and most often have made family connections through church. I am currently work in the Creative Department at my church in Colorado Springs, but I am looking to Read more move to Nashville ASAP to connect as a songwriter. I am super down to earth and have good values that lend themselves well to caring for children. I am creative and nurturing and love making the environment fun. I am happy to help with music lessons (I play guitar/piano and sing), play sports, and any outdoor activities. I don't have any children of my own yet but would love to some day. Additional info about me: I studied songwriting and music theory abroad last year in London, UK. I am a guitar player, piano player and singer. I graduated with a one-year certificate under the BMUS Songwriting course from The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance/University of East London (2014). I have studied in church ministry for worship music leadership in Colorado Springs (graduated at the highest level with a certificate in 2009). I graduated from West Virginia University (go Mountaineers) in 2008 with a BS in Journalism/Public Relations. From there, I've had several jobs in marketing, public relations, creative/music departments, and nannying all throughout that time for families. I have gone on several mission trips to Uganda and assisted with medical clinics, vacation bible study, teaching, music, sports activities, crafts and structural building projects. I love people and have a very adventurous spirit, which is partly why I love being around kids so much!
