I began working with children at a relatively young age. My first experiences were babysitting neighborhood kids and working in the nursery at my church. Throughout college, I worked as a part time nanny for a three year old girl. Since moving to Nashville, I have become a regular caretaker for my brother's four small children as well as a part time nanny for an infant girl. Over the past few years, my full time work has been in the service industry. As I get older, I realize more and more that what truly makes me happy is working with and being around children. I am currently in the process of preparing to go back to school for early childhood education. This will not be an immediate transition in my life, but it is my goal. In the meantime, it is so important to me to spend the majority of Read more my life doing what I love. I am a patient, kind, enthusiastic, responsible person. I have a real passion for helping kids learn--whether it be in regards to academics and traditional education or in terms of helping them learn to be good people. I also am very receptive and open to communication with parents about what they expect for their children. I am adaptable and completely understand that each family has different ideas for how they want their children to learn and grow. I look forward to this next step on my journey toward becoming a professional educator, and would love to work for the right family!
