Hello! I am a recent graduate of Belmont University with a BFA in Theatre Education. My family moved from a small town in Kentucky to the large city of Ankara, Turkey when I was six years old; that is where I lived until moving to Nashville for college. During my time there, I served as teacher's assistant for multiple classes (PreK-2nd grade) and served as the founder/director for an elementary theatre program (grades 3-6). At Belmont, I have been able to serve as a tutor in various Metro Nashville Public Schools. I spent my final semester student teaching full time at two different public high schools (the highlight of which was being able to teach a theatre class that was part of the school's Special Education program). While the majority of my experience with children has been in educational settings, I am a firm believer that things learned outside the Read more classroom are just as significant as things learned in it. I have learned the most about kindness, patience, self-advocacy, and respect from non-educational settings--my family, friends, passions--and would be honored to be part of exemplifying those for your child. Outside of teaching, I love tea, crocheting, taking my tiny dog on walks, and writing scripts. I look forward to the chance to meet your family and love on your kids. All the best, Annie
