Hello! My name is Alexa and I am a 27-year old nanny from the Nashville area. I have many years of experience watching children of all ages. I currently am a temp. nanny for an agency in the area, but also wanted to make myself available for opportunities on here as well. I am the oldest of three and graduated from college in 2016 with a degree in criminal justice. During my time there, I studied psychology as well. One of my favorite aspects of nannying is how children keep us present, as they are always in the present moment. It's a reminder that we should all strive to be more like them :) Other skills/qualifications: - American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certified. - Passed the INA Nanny Basic Skills Assessment. - Experience as a mentor in college through the Adolescent Diversion Program where I learned youth Read more stress deescalation techniques and how to properly assess their needs. - Completed child development and child psychology courses in high school and college. - Understand the seriousness of dietary restrictions, being gluten and dairy-free myself. - In the 10+ years that I have watched children, I have never had to call parents due to injury and/or distress. The safety of the children I watch is extremely important to me.
