Hello, my name is Katherine and I’m a college educated nanny who has worked in child care for five years. I have had the opportunity provide care as an at-home nanny, but also as a daycare assistant-teacher, and an elementary school mentor. I have experience caring for newborns, children up to 12 years old, and even twins. I also have a lot of experience with homework help and online school. My number one priority as a nanny is the safety and security of the children in my care, as well as maintaining a dependable relationship of trust and kindness with families. In my work, I am constantly monitoring the progress and milestones of the children in my care, and I always aim to set up creative and engaging activities that apply to their age and ability, helping them grow in confidence and competence. Some of my favorite activities to do with the children I nanny are outdoor adventures such as going to the playground, or on walks. I also love to do art projects, and even bake together if they are old enough. I also love to encourage children to read, whether it be independently or by reading to them. I have continually seen that it truly does take a village to raise a child, and I always consider it a blessing to be another trusted source of care for a family.
