My name is Brianna and I am an elementary teacher with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. Prior to teaching, I spent five years as a nanny for various families, caring for children of all ages from newborns to teenagers. I am also experienced teaching in a church setting, volunteering for years in my church nursery as well as leading classes for young teens. Working with kids is my absolute favorite and I definitely feel that it is my purpose in life! My childcare approach follows gentle parenting principles, emphasizing open communication, empathy, and redirecting behavior positively. I strive to understand children's emotions, set clear boundaries through discussions, and model positive behavior. I whole-heartedly believe in building up a child’s emotional intelligence, confidence, and independence- and will never resort to yelling or physical punishment for your child or my own. I'm currently in the Arlington 76012 area, and I'm willing to drive up to 30 minutes away. I am also open to providing care either in your home or mine, depending on what works best for your family. I prefer a W2 employment arrangement and my rate is $20-25 per hour, which is negotiable depending on the situation! I'm more than happy to provide support with homeschooling, homework help, or tutoring as needed. Additionally, I have a sweet & kind-hearted almost 2-year-old girl who will be accompanying me. Having her around would be a fantastic opportunity for the child I'll be caring for to have a built-in playmate and friend! My schedule is very flexible, I will be babysitting for one family on Thursday mornings for the remainder of the summer, but I'm available all other days and open to working both weekdays and weekends! My ideal hours are mornings until around 2:30 pm to accommodate for my daughter's nap time, but I'm open to discussing other hours if we can figure out the logistics! I am experienced in caring for families with multiple children and am open to all ages, although it would be great to work with a family with kiddos close to my daughters age or older!
