I am a current SAHM, but part-time nanny. My previous experience was in a mental health hospital as a tech. During that time, I was also going to nursing school so I remember basic nursing skills and am CPR/FIRST AID certified. (Due to extenuating circumstances I had to drop out) Ive worked with all age ranges, in that field, from 4 years old to 80 years old. I've had a lot of experience with ADL's for the geriatric population. For my own personal childrearing experience, I've raised 4 children. My oldest is 10 and my youngest is 4 months right now. I'm not shy with newborn care and I am extra attentive during that time (and in the 12 months after) because it's a crucial time to build proper trust and security in any child. I want all children I engage with to start with a healthy and functional foundation. I focus a lot on emotional awareness and regulation, boundary setting, maintaining accountability, promoting confidence and responsibility, and practicing age-appropriate life skills--for the children. For the parents, I promote and provide tools and instruction on how to promote cooperation, how to proactively connect with children to meet belonging and significance needs, reduce power struggles, and how to decrease stimulus overload on any primary parent. I also help in design domestic infrastructure to distribute the domestic labor burden equally among all household residents. (These are things like designing and implementing morning and bed time routine, creating daily tasks, weekly tasks, and monthly tasks---so the house stays clean) I've been homeschooling my children for the past 7 years, so I have experience with most school age material as well.
