My first *real* exposure to working with kids was when my nephew was born almost 10 years ago. I was still in college and spent the whole summer helping my sister. When I graduated 2 years later, she had just had twins. I moved in with her and helped her for 3 months while the twins were preemie infants. During this time, when I wasn't assisting her, I worked as an art teacher for a few different after school programs in the area. (I love teaching/ making art with kids!). I am now an aunt of 5 and am very close with all the kids. There is nothing more special to me than watching these kids grow, and being the fun aunt. I currently watch after a 2 year old I've been watching since he was 4 weeks old. I see him only once a week and house/pet sit for Read more the family on occasion. Now, I work mostly as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator, but it is hard to find consistent work in this field. I am just looking for a sweet family with good kid(s) to look after a few times a week for a few hours. I am cheerful, creative, active, have a reliable car, and lots of glowing reports. :)
