Hello! Thanks for your consideration! I am a 26 year old mom of a toddler with an extensive background working with children of all ages and abilities. I spent the first half of my 20s working as a behavior technician, specializing in learners who have autism. I have also worked with other intellectual disabilities including (but not limited to) Down syndrome and oppositional defiance disorder. I have a Bachelor’s degree in special education, and was a teacher this past school year for a speech and language focused class of students with ASD and concurrent diagnoses. Prior to my education, I was kind of the “pied piper” of my family, being 8+ years older than my sibling as well as all of my cousins, and I spent many summers helping my aunts and uncles with their kiddos. I am well-versed in milestones and not afraid of messes, and am happy to Read more do whatever you need to maintain your household’s running smoothly. I encourage curiosity and independence and love to play outside! I am expecting another little one in October, and I’m in search of part-time positions/fill-in positions to save a little money prior to our new addition’s arrival. Once I am ready to return to the work force, I would also be interested in longer term care positions, especially if there is flexibility for our families to intermingle some of the time!
