Hi everyone!! My name is Irene and I’m a Texas State University graduate about to start my graduate degree in physical therapy with the intent to work in a pediatric setting. My hobbies include anything outdoors such as biking, spending time at the river, hiking, painting and arts and crafts! I’ve been involved with kids ever since high school where I took Teen Teaching. This class had a weekly Elementary School outing where we were paired with a “troubled” kid for the year. Some of these kids were either new and had a hard time making friends or had some home issues and needed a little extra time with a friend. We also did 2 week long overnight field trips with the entire school where us, the high schoolers, would run activities and games. It was a blast! In addition to that, this summer I worked full time at Kidventure, Read more a summer camp in Austin. We went on field trips with the kids every week, swam, had movie days and so much more. Additionally, I have experience through my physical therapy technician jobs working with kids in this setting. I’ve worked with a numerous amount of kids with both physical and mental disabilities in both PT and OT settings. My love for kids and working with them has been my inspiration towards my Doctorates in Physical Therapy so I can dedicate my career to pediatric patients. All in all, I love kids and would be grateful to work with your family!
