My name is Alix Becke. I’m a 19 year old preschool teacher/nanny . I have my own car and a clean driving record, and have been working as a nanny and teacher since early February. I worked at as the Young Toddler coteacher at Primrose School of Four Points, and I was a floater for several months. During my time there, I worked with children of all ages. Since leaving Primrose, I have been working as a private preschool teacher for three families. My current learning pod consists of three children ranging for 3-4 years! The ages I have most experience with are 2-10 years, however I have worked with infants as well. I am comfortable with potty training/diaper changing, helping to establish schedules, helping with homework, providing education through play, cooking, and moderate housekeeping. I feel that I could be a good candidate because I am very nurturing and Read more kind to the children. My training in child development helps me be able to understand their feelings and help them learn to express those feelings through positive actions and words. I encourage them to try new things and be adventurous, but assess a situation for the risks beforehand. I have been working with children all my life! I am a non smoker. I am certified in infant and young child CPR, and I have first aid training. I am currently waiting for my lease to be up and will be moving to Houston from Austin by January.
